How to complain about our service, what happens when you do, and where you can take it if we do not put it right.
Effective 30 August 2026.
If something has gone wrong, we want to know while we can still do something about it. Email hello@businessdebtrecovery.co.uk with 'Complaint' in the subject line, or write to us at 16 Aylmer Parade, Aylmer Road, London N2 0PE.
Tell us what happened, when, who you dealt with, and what you would like us to do. That last part matters — a complaint with a remedy attached is far easier to resolve than one without.
We acknowledge your complaint in writing within five working days. Someone not involved in the matter reviews the file. We give you a written response setting out what we found and what we propose to do, and we aim to do that within eight weeks — sooner where we can.
Say so, and we will look at it again. Beyond that, the honest position is that your options depend on who did the work.
Work carried out by Buzz Legal Ltd. We are not a firm of solicitors and are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. That means the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA's complaints process are not available in respect of our work, and neither is the SRA compensation fund. We carry professional indemnity insurance and our complaints procedure is the route available to you, followed by the ordinary legal remedies any customer has.
Work carried out by RHF Solicitors (SRA no. 324115). That firm is regulated by the SRA, and complaints about their work go to them under their own complaints procedure, with the Legal Ombudsman available afterwards. We will tell you clearly at the time which of us is doing what, and we will help you raise it with them.
If your complaint is about how we have handled personal data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. See our privacy policy.
Buzz Legal Ltd is one of a group of companies. If your complaint is about accountancy work by Buzz Accounting Ltd, or about another part of the group, tell us anyway and we will pass it to the right company rather than send you away — those companies have their own procedures and, where they are licensed by a professional body, their own escalation routes.
Tell us what you are owed and who owes it. You get back what the debt is actually worth once interest and compensation are added, what we would do first, and the fixed fee for doing it.
